“There is no actual starvation or deaths from starvation, but there is widespread mortality from diseases due to malnutrition.” — Walter Duranty
With access to services like mock interviews, résumé writing, connecting with jobs, earning scholarships for college or vocational training — OPF (One Project Foundation) teens are focused on developing workplace and technical skills to help them change their lives and their communities for good.
WHY TARGET EMPLOYMENT?
To have any chance and any hope of escaping poverty, being able to earn income from stable work is essential and very much import or else all the work done would not amount to anything. That means children need to grow up to have the skills that employers require or they themselves as Job Creators will require. And with the benefit of other skills acquired through our programs and services focused on education and empowerment, they’re on a good path. But there’s still work to be done. That makes our focus on employment an important tool to help break the cycle of poverty for generations to come.
